Rhodes alumni love helping students and fellow graduates. So what’s one question you have for someone who’s done what’s ahead of you?
Hi, I’m Maya Whitfield, a senior at Rhodes College majoring in International Studies.
I’ve spent two summers interning with nonprofits in Memphis, but I’m unsure how to turn that into a global-facing career. Did you go straight into the field after graduation, or was grad school a necessary step for you? I’d love to know which doors are actually open right now.
Thank you for sharing your experience with a fellow Lynx!

Hello, I’m Jordan Ellis, graduating from Rhodes College in 2027 with a degree in Business Administration.
I’ve focused on finance, but Memphis has strong logistics and healthcare industries too, and I wonder if I’m limiting myself. How did you choose your first industry, and did that choice shape everything after? I want to make a smart first move, not just an easy one.
Thanks so much for your insight!

Hi, I’m Priya Anand, a junior at Rhodes College on the pre-med Biology track.
Between classes, MCAT prep, and clinical hours, I’m never sure where to focus my energy. How did you build your resume during undergrad, and which experiences actually mattered most when it came time to apply? Any guidance would mean a lot.
Thank you for helping a current student!
